Conestoga Mall Community Service Scholarship

The Conestoga Mall recognizes the achievements of students who have helped to make their school and community a better place by their participation in activities designed to achieve that goal.  The scholarship is open to graduating seniors from high schools in Central Nebraska.

Eligibility:

1. Open to 2010 high school graduating seniors
2. Maintain high scholastic level as deemed within their capability while participating in activities dedicated to improving the quality of life in their school and community. 

Requirements:

1. Submit two letters of recommendation (1) educator, administrator, counselor or staff member (2) a community resident; stating reasons
2. Include a copy of an authorized signed high school transcript indicating their high school grade point average (grades 9-12) to include their first semester of their senior year
3. Provide a listing of school and community activities, including years of participation and offices held
4. A brief statement (150 words or less) on why you feel you should be selected for this scholarship
5. Application must be signed by applicant and submitted by mall closing hours, March 31st to the Conestoga Mall office, at 3404 West 13th Street, Grand Island, Nebraska, 68803 or at the Conestoga Mall Customer Service Center.  No applications will be accepted prior to March 1st or later than March 31st, either by  person or postmarked. 

Selection:

1. Recipient will be notified by the Conestoga Mall Marketing Director
2. Recipient’s school will be notified of their selection
3. Recipient must notify the Conestoga Mall of their choice of college and provide a college transcript indicating enrollment of a full time student
4. A $500.00 check will be deposited in the name of the recipient to their accredited college, university or school he/she will be attending in the following graduation year, after college transcript is received
